About Amagara

It is our vision to empower children’s personal and spiritual growth by providing them with safe shelter, quality education, balanced nutrition, health education and vocational training.”

Juna Amagara, which means “Saving Life”, was founded in 2004 with the mission to provide shelter and education to AIDS orphans in Uganda.

Over 1.5 million children have lost their parents to the HIV/AIDS epidemic in this east African republic.  Through the help of a coalition of government, schools and churches, the spread of HIV/AIDS has slowed dramatically and infected victims are provided with proper care. Nevertheless, there are still thousands of children without parents and in need of help.

Juna Amagara Ministries is a Christian organization that provides these children with the necessary tools to become successful adults who can make a difference in their community.
