2009 Mission

ICCP is an international Christ-centered community in Aix-en-Provence, France. In 2007, ICCP sent a team of university students to Uganda to work with Juna Amagara Ministries, supporting and encouraging the organization by doing construction projects and serving in the children’s home. ICCP is excited to continue our relationship with Juna Amagara by sending another team of 10 university students and young adults to Uganda in April 2009.

Our major project this year will be to continue construction on the Learning Advancement Center that the 2007 ICCP team began. This center will eventually have many uses including housing, meeting rooms, a school for young women, and a computer lab. The rest of our time will be spent working with the children helping to tutor, play sports, sing, and spend time with the children each day.

“My life was forever altered by the experience of serving in Uganda with Juna Amagara. To this day, I continually remember the smiling faces and the warm, loving welcome of everyone that we met. At the core of our experience was the immeasurable value of helping children and adults in need – all of whom have undeniable intrinsic value because they are made in the image of God. The smiling faces and warm embraces heightened our awareness that each of us are connected at the deepest level for eternity. We are not helping a certain people in a far off land, but rather we are serving our brothers and sisters. There can be nothing more life-changing.”
- Dominic Rivera, member of 2007 FranceToUganda Team

We are excited for this opportunity to support Juna Amagara and to learn from them as we serve alongside them. We hope you will join in our excitement and get involved.
